Zahava Media ("we", "our", "us") operates the Zahava Media application and website at zahavamedia.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: License key, email address, and client name provided during setup.
- Profile Information: Profile names, avatars, and channel preferences you create within the app.
- Usage Data: Watch time tracking, daily usage statistics, and app interaction data to provide time management features.
- Device Information: Device identifiers for managing connected devices and portal access.
- Authentication Data: Hashed PINs and biometric credential identifiers for security purposes. We never store plain-text PINs.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Zahava Media content filtering service
- Manage user profiles and channel allowlists
- Enforce parental controls including time limits and schedules
- Sync settings across devices via Firebase
- Authenticate users via PIN or biometric verification
- Display YouTube content through the official YouTube embedded player
3. YouTube API Services
Zahava Media uses the YouTube API Services to search for channels and display video content. By using our app, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
YouTube content is displayed through YouTube's official embedded player. We do not download, cache, or store any YouTube audio or video content. All video playback occurs through YouTube's infrastructure.

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication). We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Firebase security rules restricting unauthorized access
- Hashed PINs (never stored in plain text)
- Anonymous authentication for portal access
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:
- Google/Firebase: Data is stored on Google's Firebase infrastructure, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube API: Channel search queries are sent to YouTube's API to retrieve results.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your data within 30 days.
If you revoke API access through our app, your data will be deleted within 7 calendar days. If you revoke access through the Google Security Settings page, your data will be deleted within 30 calendar days.
7. Children's Privacy
Zahava Media is a content management tool designed for use by parents and guardians. While the filtered content may be viewed by family members of all ages, the app's administrative features (parent portal, settings management) are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without parental consent.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws, including Israel's Privacy Protection Law (1981), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Revoke API access at any time

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
